Climbing

From the nearby Hatta Crag and the areas around RAK, to a little further in Dibba, Khasab and other points in Oman, Dubai has a pretty thriving climbing scene for both trad and sport climbing.  While Dubai has a few indoor places to climb (Rock Republic for bouldering and Dorell's The Wall to name but two), the outdoors is where it's at.  Check out Red Armada's climbing book on the UAE and Oman for specifics and maybe you'll camp and climb at Wonderwall, my favorite spot with tons of fun routes for beginners and experts....  - Ethan
